What a notice must include
- Your physical or electronic signature, as the copyright owner or a person authorized to act for the owner.
- The copyrighted work you believe is infringed. If one notice covers several works, a representative list of them.
- The material you believe infringes it, with enough detail for us to find it. Files sent in chats are private, so tell us who sent it (their name or email address), the date it was sent, and what it shows.
- Your name, postal address, phone number and email address, so that we can contact you.
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
The form below asks for each of them.

False notices
Under 17 U.S.C. 512(f), anyone who knowingly materially misrepresents that material or activity is infringing may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys’ fees. If you are not sure whether material infringes your copyright, you may want to talk to a lawyer before you send a notice.
Counter-notices
If we removed a file you sent and you believe in good faith that it was removed by mistake or misidentified, you can send a counter-notice (17 U.S.C. 512(g)). It must include:
- your name, postal address and phone number;
- the file that was removed, and where it was before we removed it;
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good faith belief that the file was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification;
- a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located or, if your address is outside the United States, any judicial district in which Kindred Vision may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the notice or their agent;
- your physical or electronic signature.
To send one, sign in and open “Details” on the removed file in your chat: its page names the file and asks for the rest. You can also send a counter-notice by email to our copyright agent at copyright@kindredvision.com.
We forward it, with your name, address and phone number, to the person who sent the notice. Unless they tell us within 12 weekdays that they have filed a court action, the file comes back.
Repeat infringers
If three notices within 12 months lead us to remove files you sent, and those files are not restored, your account is suspended. A file restored after a counter-notice does not count.
